Slack AI is here, promising user-centric changes modeled after new generative AI tools. In a recent blog post, Slack is aiming to improve searching for old messages and documents. Slack has been notorious for having a perplexing means of searching for old messages. Slack AI can help users who can’t think of exact terms to use in the search bar with smart suggestions. Slack noted that their new AI features are only available as a paid add-on for Enterprise plans. The known messaging and collaboration tool Slack announced in their blog a price increase for their Pro plan and big changes to their Free Plan. Starting this September, the Pro plan of Slack will have a price increase from USD 8.00 to USD 8.75 per user per month and an annual Pro subscription from USD 6.67 to USD7.25 per user per month. Slack clarified this will only affect people using the Pro plan worldwide and not the Business Plus and custom enterprise plans.
