In its report, Ookla found that Smart delivered the fastest Median Download Speed among the top mobile service providers in the Philippines, with a median speed of 32.16 Mbps. While Smart recorded the fastest median speeds, Globe had the best Consistency performance in Q4 2022 with 83.1% of results showing at least a 5 Mbps minimum download speed and 1 Mbps minimum upload speed. The results of the report are based on data from Speedtest, a web service that provides free analysis of Internet access performance metrics. While our national broadband average is still nowhere near that of Singapore or Hong Kong, broadband and mobile internet speeds have significantly improved in the last few years. A new poster ad from Smart Bro promotes their broadband speed to be up to 2Mbps.
