Ookla Speedtest has released their Ookla Speedtest Awards, citing PLDT as the fastest fixed network and Smart as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines. For the Fastest Fixed Network Award for the Philippines in Q1-Q2 2018, PLDT was cited as the winner for achieving a Speed Score of 17.31, with top speeds of 53.07 Mbps for download and 54.31 Mbps for upload. According to Ookla Speedtest, the Speed Score incorporates a measure of each provider's download and upload speed to rank network speed performance. Last month, PLDT sent out word to subscribers that they've prepared the network for the live-streaming of the Pacquiao-Clottey fight on WatchPad.
