#Spotify audiobook expansion

Spotify plans on expanding their audiobooks with AI narration with the help of ElevenLabs. Spotify is opening support for ElevenLabs' audiobooks. Spotify states that any audiobook narrated by AI will have a sentence at the start of the description stating that the audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. This will expand Spotify’s audiobook library with 1,000 new titles more including popular the ones from acclaimed authors. The partnership, announced on the one-year anniversary of Spotify's audiobook launch, will feature works from renowned authors such as Sarah J. “We are delighted to be partnering with Spotify to bring our catalog of audiobooks to even more listeners,” said Sam Halstead, Director of Audio at Bloomsbury. “We feel confident that this partnership will help to introduce a whole new generation of listeners to audiobooks for years to come.” Spotify has invested heavily in its audiobook offering, paying hundreds of millions of dollars annually to publishers. Spotify has introduced another option for bookworms with their new Audiobooks Access Tier.
