Spotify plans on expanding their audiobooks with AI narration with the help of ElevenLabs. Spotify is opening support for ElevenLabs' audiobooks. The company states that ElevenLabs is a cost-effective method for authors to create their audiobooks with digital narration. Authors can download the file package and upload the voice-narrated book to Findaway Voices by Spotify. After a standard review, the book will go live on Spotify, as well as other retailers that accept digital voice-narrated titles from Findaway Voices. Spotify states that any audiobook narrated by AI will have a sentence at the start of the description stating that the audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. Spotify has inked partnership with United Kingdom-based Bloomsbury Publishing. This will expand Spotify’s audiobook library with 1,000 new titles more including popular the ones from acclaimed authors.
