Spotify has rolled out Page Match, a smart new feature that syncs your audiobook progress with physical books and e-books. Page Match, which appeared first in a report last month and has now become operational to help users switch between audio and text content more simply. With Page Match, users can use their phone camera to scan a page from either a physical book or an e-book. Going the other way works too, users can scan a page to receive guidance from Spotify about the book section that corresponds with their previous listening experience. Spotify says the AI voice will match the original speaker’s style of speaking, “making for a more authentic listening experience”. Spotify Lyrics is powered by Musixmatch and will allow users to access song lyrics in real time.
