TCL, China’s leading TV manufacturer, is about to change the way we perceive 4K TVs (as very expensive piece of display technology) as they unveil the 7E51040 Ultra-HD; a 50-inch 4K TV which will only set you back USD999 a pop. And while we can’t say much about its design because we haven’t had the chance to see the TV yet, we already noticed some corners that TCL had to cut to keep the price within the three-digit mark. Recently, TCL unveiled its latest mid-to-premium TVs from its global series. One of them is a Quantum Dot TV -- the TCL X3. Design and Construction Out of the box, The TCL X3 is colossal, and the 65-inch Quantum Dot screen display is to blame. It has a 6.9mm curved body display, and a premium and minimalistic design, which according to TCL, is heavily inspired from both Nordic influences and exquisite details from the East. It features six circular front Harman/Kardon speakers on both ends, paired with the TCL logo in the middle, and the Xess logo on the lower right side.
