As part of Toyota Motor Corp's recall of 6.39 million vehicles worldwide, Toyota Motor Philippines is recalling Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux units sold in the country from November 2004 to June 2010. The recall in the Philippines has something to do with faulty spiral cable retainers. There are, however, no incidents reported related to this condition." To address the problem, Toyota Motor Philippines launched its "Special Service Campaign" to have the faulty parts replaced free of charge. "In line with Toyota’s firm commitment on product safety and quality, Toyota Motor Philippines will issue a Special Service Campaign (SSC) on the affected models. Owners of affected units are also advised to get in touch with the Toyota Customer Assistance Center at (02) 819-2912 or visit their Toyota dealership. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has issued a recall of four car models sold in the country: the ASX, Outlander, Lancer EX and Lancer Evolution X, due to problems with the brake booster, brake lamp switch and engine drive belt pulley.
