Just after the recent release of the Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi is yet rumored to launch a Redmi phone sporting an 18:9 display. Rumor has it that Xiaomi is gearing up to bring the 18:9 display to its budget Redmi lineup of smartphones in the coming months. However, Tianma revealed that it's, indeed, making 18:9 panels and it is speculated that these panels will appear on future Redmi phones. Some are saying that the first Redmi device to sport this display is the upcoming Redmi Note 5 or the Redmi Note 6. It shipped with HyperOS 3 based 0:41on Android 16, but like I said earlier, 0:44this also works for Xiaomi and Redmi 0:46models.
