PLDT has announced that some of their voice and data services are unavailable for customers in select locations in Quezon City after Globe Telecom contractors hit underground cables.
Voice and data services within the vicinity of Quezon Avenue and Timog Avenue are currently unavailable for PLDT home and enterprise customers. The company said that fiber optic cables servicing the said areas were hit by ongoing underground digging of a contractor of Globe Telecom.
PLDT said that repair teams have already been dispatched since last night but heavy rains prevented them from repairing the affected cables. The company apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes to restore the services within 24 hours as the weather improves.
