Devant goes on sale with cheap LED TVs

Devant has been knocking down prices of their LED TVs and bundling another LCD TV to go with it. Just saw a couple of them on sale at the exhibit hall of the Mall of Asia earlier tonight.

The 46″ Devant LED TV sells for Php119,950 but if you pay straight on credit card or cash, they’ll give you a Php12,000 discount. You also get a 40-inch full HD LCD TV with it. That’s Php107,950 for the price of a 46-inch LED TV and a 40-inch LCD TV.

The LED TVs are very slim (under 2 inches), has 1080p full HD display, 120Hz ViVid Motion, 3 million to 1 contrast ratio with a USB slot, HDMI ports.

There’s the 40-inch LED TV worth Php84,950 (less Php8,500 when paid in cash or straight card) and comes with a free 32″ LCD TV. The 32-inch LED TV sells for Php49,950 (less Php5,000 if paid in cash or straight card) and comes with a free 24″ full HD LCD TV.

Update: Been asked about the Devant brand and all I know is that it’s a Singaporean product and has been introduced in the Philippines only in 2006.

nagcheck po ako now: dapat tlga devant bibilhin namin kaso dame negative feedbacks na cra agad pagkabili..

^most likely the audio encodding on your MKV file is in DTS which I believe the devant can’t decode

i bought a 42inch mel350 ok naman siya. kaso ang ayaw ko lang nakkpgply siya ng mkv files pero walang sounds. tlgang ganito ba ung 42inchmel350? please help. 1 week ago ko lang siya nabili sa store. pwde ko kaya ipalit pa?. any advices guys?

May alm ba kayo swap ng t.v ng devant, nasira kasi yun picture, nahulog sa bracket wall. Gumagana kaso may tama yun picture. Kesa buy ng bago, i sawp ko na lang sana.

We just bought devant ledtech 42″ 42mel350 worth roughly 44k. credit card 12 mnts no interest. with free nextbase dvd player at 5.1 audio set. nung snet ko ayaw gumana nung mga speakers as i watch dvd. gnwa ko nlg snaksak ko sa headphones ung jack ng amplifier ko. eh ayaw ng hdmi parang ngloloose ung dvd na free. mgnda nman xa kso nga lang defective yta ung dvd na free. pero pde nman xa gawing monitor sa pc kaya ok na hha.

I guess like in all products, 2 kasi yan, design and execution. So, maganda design ng Devant pero mukang hindi consistent sa execution, meaning, quality control. Pinag-iisipan ko rin ang Devant 32 inch 850 vs sony bx311. Can’t decide talaga, pero mukang mas matatahimik ako sa sony kung sa durability, saka malapit sa dasma cavite yung sony center. Pero tempting talaga features ng devant ah. choices, choices…

BTW, kabibili ko lang ng panasonic 42 plasma, ibalik sa sm dahil walang ma play ng video ko, ayaw sa internet, as they claim, and if ever, FB lang pala ang kaya. parang pangit din ang quality sa cable, maganda pa yung 14 ko na crt panasonic din yun, boutght in in 1994.

I bought my Devant 32DX850 more amost 2 years ago with speakers and DVP player.. Problem i encountered after a few months was bigla natangal yung connection sa outlet without turning it off and when turned on, wala ng power. Buti na lang may warranty so napalitan ng bagong main board. Techinician advise me to put an AVR in case of power fluctuations to protect the main board. My problem now, palagi nababagsak ang remote control and universal remote wont work so I need to buy a remote from devant and it cost more than 1K daw.
Just sharing my experience with Devant.

Bumili kami ng Devant dec.2008 32in. LCD with free Nextbase dvd player with hdmi 28000 lang compared sa iba noon na 32k ang price at no freebies.

Maganda naman at hanngang nayon di parin naman nasisira ang LCD TV namin yun lang free na Nextbase dvd player nasira yung hdmi kaya A/V out ang gamit namin pero maganda ang output ng hdmi dati.

Sa nag comment na nasira daw agad TV nya me warranty nman po siguro mag complain tayo kung after ng warranty eh nasira agad.

Minsan naman nasisira talaga ang appliances makina po iyan kahit tao nagkakasakit. Problema kung karamihan ng parehong model ay madaming nasisira agad na pareho problema tulad ng Compaq notebook ko na sa after 9 months nasira agad ang LCD at ayon sa internet halos lahat ng unit ay ganon ang problema.

Bibili kami next week ng 40in. LED TV Devant din tingin ko kasi sa pag canvass ko maganda yung SEL100 40in. LED TV with free home theater at blu-ray player.

In view of the floods that threatened our area, my son who bought the Devant had it mounted on his wall. Now after a year, we again dismounted it and replaced it to its original stand. Our problem is, we can no longer locate the 4 screws that connects the LCD to the stand. As it is now, its unstable and capable of toppling over. Can you help us.

I bought 40″ Devant LED so far so good, digital tv tuner, 120hz motion, USB support (no need to buy mkv player, plays directly mkv, mp4, avi HD movies) comes directly with wall mount. got it for 58k 12 months 0% interest.. also got the dvd player for 3k with HMDI cable but so far I haven’t used it since I played movies directly via my portable HD.

Bumili kami ng Devant 40SEL100 40in 54,000pesos credit card 12 months with free (daw) na 24in LED tv sa Western Appliances sa Sta.Lucia. Yung 24 in LED tv nasira after 6days po blackout walang power binalik ko sa Western yung 24in LED tv at pinalitan naman nila ng iba at sa ngayun ok pa rin.

Yung sabi ko na 24in LED tv na free (daw) kasi me nakita ko na ibang brand pareho ng Devant 40in LED tv less 10,000 pesos pero dahil ang price ng 24in na LED TV ay 14,000 pesos Devant na kinuha namin kasi less 4,000 pesos na rin yun at balak din nman namin bumili ng 24in Tv kaya Devant binili namin.

Kung hindi pa nangyari sa inyo na nasira agad binili nyo wag naman kayong mag comment ng hindi maganda sa iba na naka experience ng tulad sa amin.

Kasi ako nainis din ako naisip ko andali naman masira ng tv nila. Kasi me Devant 32in lcd tv kami na luma 3 years na di pa naman sira kaya Devant uli binili namin.

Just bought a Devant 32″ CL900 – came with a free dvd player and 5.1 surround speakers (SRP for both is around Php12K – Php3.5K for the dvd player + Php9K for the speakers [maganda kasi yung speakers – crisp and loud]). Php23K all in. I think it’s a good price plus I’m in Davao so yun medyo may kamahalan compared sa Manila pero I think it’s a good deal pa rin. Compared to Php30k-35k for same specs of other brands na walang freebies. 1 year parts/service. Read the reviews on found here |http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php?topic=116416.0| and didn’t read any negatives so I dove in so far I’m happy with the decision.

Hi Charlie. Saw one just last week at the SM Appliance Center (Davao), and planning to buy one. It was a 32″LED at 26k, less 10%, add some 4k for the home theater. What is your comment on the unit? Is it ok?

Sir try at home appliance in nccc. They’re at least 2k less compared to sm.. I’ve had my 32″ devant for months.. Primary tv.. Usually on about 8 hours a day if not more.. No problems at all

Ouch. When I saw sale, I was thinking nasa price range ng normal na appliance / gadget. Yun pala price na ng second hand car. Lolz. I kid.

Anyway, since LED naman pala, sulit na rin somehow. If I am going to buy a new TV, I’d rather get those at the 20-25k range. LCD I suppose. I don’t spend much time watching TV anyway.

Meron din ang Toshiba pero never syang naging proven na ISDB-T ready since no proofs na may broadcasts from GEMNET or NBN4. Yung sa Sharp kasi may photo na gumagana ang ISDB-T nila. Makikita mo yun sa ISDB-T Philippines fanpage sa facebook. Sa Devant naman, halata.

Hanap na lang kayo ng kakilala dito sa Gulf region..mura LED tv’s 3500 pesos lang air freight..just wait for 5 days..makakapanood na kayo
sa manipis na idiot box or frame..lol
wag lang lalagpas sa 32″ kung ayaw bumayad sa tax duty..

@PJ. Yes, Devant and Sharp pa lang ang brands na may ISDB-T tuners sa bansa. Expect for brands like Samsung,Sony,LG,Sanyo,Panasonic and other major brands to include a digital TV tuner this year.

pahabol lang, kung gusto mo talaga makatipid with a little risk, try browsing amazon.com tapos ipaship mo through http://www.pobox.ph. Yung kaibigan ko kasi nakakuha ng LG din na plasma, 55″ for $400. then plus 15k for delivery to his house here sa Manila. Kaso 1 month kasi by sea ang delivery. Pero ang mura padin in total. Nasa 33k lang for a brand new 55″ plasma. not bad na. Basta ang secret at research first before buying :) Happy new year sa inyo!!!

I got my 47″ LG LED TV(SL90QR) sa SnS last August for 80k. I think mahal talaga sa iba. Kasi for some time, sa SM at sa Rob nasa 139k yung TV na nabili ko. For really good TV prices, look at http://www.pinoydvd.org Research first before buying.

problema sa Devant masyado malalaki yung LED tv nila wala pa ata sila anything below 34″ na LED tv kaya kahit quality brand sila hnd makabili yung mga nagtitipid n hnd naman masyado malaki n tv ang gusto

@Vince. CD-R King has its own LCD TV. They have 15, 18 and 32 inches. The 32-inches cost like 13K.

@To all. If you like an alternative TV with an Intergrated Digital Tuner so you can watch HDTV shows in the Philippines, get the Sharp AquosLED Quattron TV.

I think GANZKAR and DEVANT is just the same. Both have same type of promos at almost the same price.

Maybe they just have the same distributor or something O_O
