LG intros 2019 TVs with ThinQ AI

LG Electronics is set to launch their latest flagship TVs with ThinQ AI at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 in Las Vegas.

There are three main products in LG’s 2019 TVs namely the flagship SM99 75-inch 8K LCD TV and the premium lineup called NanoCell TV (SM9X and SM8X series) that features the company’s NanoColor, Nano Accuracy, and NanoBezel technologies.

The latest TVs are powered by LG’s Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor with deep learning algorithm which enhances the picture and sound quality. It also adjusts the tone mapping curve and automatically adjusts brightness levels by using the TV’s ambient light sensor. It also has Amazon Alexa along with Google Assistant for conversational controls, as well as an intuitive Home Dashboard to control a variety of smart home devices directly from the TV.

Through the inclusion of HDMI 2.1 ports, all the 2019 OLED TVs and select NanoCell TVs with ThinQ AI will support high frame rate (HFR) of up to 120 fps as well as Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). For gamers, the TV’s features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to eliminate stutter and tearing.

LG’s Livestream CES 2019 press conference will be at 12:00 am January 8, 2019 (GMT+8) on their YouTube channel here.
