LG launches 84″ Ultra-HD 3D Smart TV

LG Home Entertainment has recently launched in Anson’s Makati its 84″ Ultra-HD 3D Smart TV which is capable of displaying content at four times the level of detail of a full 1080p HD resolution.

The UHD 3D TV has an IPS display with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 or 8 million pixels – that, according to LG, guarantees lifelike, dramatic, and pin sharp images. Now, watching non-UHD content on a TV this big could be an issue so LG uses a technology called the “LG Resolution Upscaler Plus” that allows SD and HD content to be displayed with higher detail. In 3D mode (3D glasses required), the TV uses a 3D Depth Control so users can adjust the distance between near and far objects. IPS also works on 3D so you still get a wide viewing experience. Don’t have 3D content? Not a problem. The UHD TV has a 2D to 3D conversion engine so you can view 2D content in 3D.

For audio, it uses a 3D Sound Zooming feature that analyzes the on-screen objects to generate sound according to location and movement. Partner that with the 2.2 Speaker System consisting of two 10W speakers and two 15W woofers so expect amazing sound coming from this TV. If you’re a gamer you’ll surely appreciate the feature called Dual Play that lets two players to simultaneously see different images on the same screen. From here you can say goodbye to split-screen gaming.

The LG 84-inch Ultra-HD 3D Smart TV has a price tag of Php849,990 and is now available in select appliance stores nationwide.

  4. Sony Bravia TV will also be releasing a 4K 3D TV :) Much better than this.. don’t know the exact size and price but will surely be stunning too.. :))

    • Also 84-inch. Php1.2M bro. :)

    • Much better than this eh? Do you know that the 84″ Sony 4K 3D TV uses the SAME LG panel?

  5. … and after 1 year, this P850k TV will be worth less than P200k.

  6. Overpricing. Senate will investigate on it. haha! That’s 10K per inch?!

  7. hehehe so yung mga pirated dvds na may naglalakad pa sa harap, magiging 3D din?! ayus! hehehehe

well to some people who has an entertainment room, this is a good one…but to ordinary people like us, 32in LED tv will be nice. :)

hope soon, 3D smart tv will be cheap…SOOOONNNN!
