Samsung has unveiled a portable screen projector called The Freestyle for those who want to bring the cinema experience at home without the bulkiness of traditional projectors.
The Freestyle is a projector, smart speaker, and ambient lighting device in one. It only weighs 860g and comes in a cylindrical body, mounted on a cradle that allows it to rotate up to 180 degrees. Users will be able to project on tables, floors, walls, or even ceilings.
The projector can project up to 100-inches and comes with full auto keystone and auto-leveling features. It can automatically adjust its screen to any surface at any angle for proportional images, has autofocus, has 360-degree sound radiation and dual passive radiators for deep and clean bass, is compatible with external batteries that support USB-PD and 50W/20V output, can connect to an E26 light socket, and can provide mood lighting effects thanks to the translucent lens cap.
Lastly, The Freestyle offers Smart TV features available on Samsung Smart TVs, with built-in streaming services and mirroring and casting features compatible with both Android and iOS mobile devices.
The Freestyle will be showcased during CES 2022 from January 5 to 7 and will go on an online pre-order in US market on January 4, with availability expanding to other global markets in the following months.
