Akamai has released their State of the Internet Report for Q3 2015, showing the Philippines with an average speed of 2.8 Mbps, same with the results in Q1.
According to Akamai’s State of the Internet Report for Q3 2015, the Philippines has an average speed of 2.8Mbps (with a peak speed of 25.3 Mbps) which is a 10% decrease from last quarter’s (Q2) 3.1 Mbps average. In Q1, the Philippines also averaged at 2.8 Mbps.

The latest report puts the Philippines at a global rank of 108 and second to the last in the APAC region. The country is also last in the region when it comes to 4 Mbps and 10 Mbps broadband adoption rates at 10% and 0.9%, respectively.
For comparison, South Korea, the leading Asia-Pacific country when it comes to internet speeds, has a Q3 average of 20.5 Mbps and a peak speed of 86.6 Mbps.
