Meta adds AI tools to Facebook Marketplace

Listen to article

Facebook Marketplace is introducing new AI features to simplify how people buy and sell items.

With the update, sellers can upload photos and let Meta’s AI automatically create a listing. This also includes item details and a suggested price based on similar listings.

Shipping has also been improved, letting sellers generate prepaid labels and track orders in one place.

The platform is also adding AI auto replies which can answer common buyer questions like price, availability and pickup details to speed up conversations.

In addition, new AI-generated profile summaries will give buyers a quick overview of a seller’s activity and history.

Meta says these changes are designed to help sellers post faster and make it easier for buyers to find what they need.
