Meta has announced the global rollout of new subscription plans for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, adding paid features across its social media and messaging platforms. Meta said these new subscriptions are separate from Meta Verified and will continue to exist alongside it. For WhatsApp Plus users, Meta is adding custom ringtones, new themes, more pinned chats, extra sticker packs, and more ways to customize lists. Meta also said more subscription plans focused on Meta AI users, creators, and businesses will be introduced in the future. Meta has officially introduced Muse Spark, the first artificial intelligence model developed by its Superintelligence Labs, marking a major step in the company’s push toward advanced AI systems. Announced by Mark Zuckerberg, Spark is part of a new “Muse” family of AI models and is now powering an updated version of Meta AI, accessible through Meta’s platform. Meta says future versions of Muse will go beyond answering questions, evolving into AI agents capable of performing tasks on behalf of users. The launch represents the first public product from Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, a division formed in 2025 with the goal of developing what Zuckerberg calls “personal superintelligence", AI that empowers individuals rather than centralizing control.
