Apple unveils M3 powered MacBook Air

Apple introduced the latest addition to its MacBook lineup today: the new MacBook Air featuring the powerful M3 chip in 13 and 15-inch configurations. This upgrade promises a significant boost in performance and efficiency compared to its predecessors.

The M3 chip brings a host of improvements to the MacBook Air. With an 8-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and support for up to 24GB of unified memory, users can expect up to 60 percent faster performance than the previous model with the M1 chip and up to 13 times faster performance compared to the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. Additionally, the new MacBook Air boasts up to 18 hours of battery life, making it an ideal choice for users on the go.

One of the standout features of the new MacBook Air is its support for up to two external displays, allowing for enhanced multitasking and productivity. The device also features Wi-Fi 6E for faster wireless connectivity and MagSafe charging for added convenience.

In terms of design, the MacBook Air retains its signature thin and light form factor, with a durable aluminum enclosure available in four colors: midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver. The device also boasts a stunning Liquid Retina display, providing crisp and vibrant visuals.

Apple has placed a strong emphasis on AI capabilities with the M3 chip, making the MacBook Air the world’s best consumer laptop for AI tasks. Leveraging the power of the 16-core Neural Engine, users can enjoy intelligent features such as real-time speech-to-text, translation, and text predictions.

The new MacBook Air also comes with macOS Sonoma, which introduces enhancements such as the ability to place widgets on the desktop and interact with them seamlessly. Additionally, features like Split View and Stage Manager further enhance productivity for users.

In terms of sustainability, Apple has made significant strides with the new MacBook Air. It is the first Apple product to be made with 50 percent recycled content, including 100 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosure. Furthermore, the device meets Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and is free of harmful materials such as mercury and PVC.

The new MacBook Air with M3 chip is available for order with deliveries in the Philippines soon, with prices starting at P69,990 for the 13-inch 256GB, P81,990 for the 13-inch 512GB, and P93,990 for the 13-inch 1TB model. The 15-inch MacBook Air starts at P82,990 for the 256GB, P94,990 for the 512GB and P106,990 for the 1TB model.
