For the longest time, I’ve been using Powerbase re-chargeable AA batteries for most of my gadgets (primarily for the Canon 580EX II). I’ve been wanting to get the Eneloop ones from Sanyo and jumped the gun when I saw these.
They come in a pack of 8’s and each battery has a different color.
Well, my old Powerbase batteries have all been mixed up and I had to mark them up to know which battery comes with which pair.
The color-coded Eneloop batteries looks like it has solved that minor issue. Only drawback is that these batteries are rated at just 1900mAh. The Powerbase ones I have right now are in the 2300mAH, 2600mAh and 2700mAh. I also got the AAA Eneloop batteries at 900mAh. And they don’t come in cheap. The set of AA costs like Php1,250USD 21INR 1,806EUR 20CNY 155 and the AAA is like Php1,000USD 17INR 1,445EUR 16CNY 124 (converted from Japanese Yen).

Paul says:
Does the pack of 8 AA’s come with a charger or do you have to buy it separately?
I ask because Apple has a battery charger which uses Sanyo eneloops too and they cost about 1.6k for 6 AA batteries and a charger.
PaulC says:
Is it locally available Abe? :) Do you have a spare set of it? I’ll buy those.. hehe
iPimp says:
I got the rainbow AA set as pasalubong last December.
Calvin says:
eneloops only go as high as 1900mah still. there are 2000mah but they’re still rated at 1900mah. that’s the drawback of having the low-discharge eneloops. pero ok na yan for everyday rechargeable devices.
@paul, yung 1.6k na yun ordinary charger ba or fast charger?
Paul says:
@Calvin
I haven’t got an Apple battery charger yet but if it’s like how they do their power adapters then it should fill the battery to 80% within an hour or so, afterwards it would slowly trickle charge to 100%.

At least they’re cute. =)

may eneloop sa cdr king… lagi nga lang out of stock…
Kiel razON says:
I saw these set of batteries at camera shops at Hidalgo, Quiapo
Gian says:
500 ang set (4pcs.) ng eneloops sa hidalgo o kaya sa tipidpc XD
Pero mas maganda kung maiba-iba ang kulay :))
manaka_junpei says:
gusto ko yang set na yan, sana available sa market yan
Brownspank says:
Too bad, I already have a bunch of white Eneloops. I don’t have any problems with the 2000mah rating, though; I use them primarily for my flash (Nissin di622), and the recycle times are fast enough, even on full power.
nikco says:
Fleeb says:
Ditto on low discharge.
Harley says:
love the colors!
tantra2gadget says:
I have 4 white eneloop 2AA battery, available nb yan dito local market..
Mahal pala bili ko ng sa akin 800php 4 pcs, laki pala price difference pag sa tipidpc or hidalgo bumili, tsk sayang….

I’ve been using the CDR-King branded Ecomax LSD for almost two years on my gadgets. I’m quite happy with the performance and price (before it was 150 pesos for a pair of AA’s)
Just a reminder though, the batteries are only as good as the charger they were charged on. Be sure to get a good charger when you’re investing on LSD batteries.
go_ren says:
i think filter exchange at multiply they sell those colored batteries. as much as i wanted those. . i dont think its practical for me to buy them. . .i am satisfied with sanyo 2500mah batts for my di622. .

dpende naman po sa gamit kung parating mg flash mas madali mag lowbat
wetpak says:
Kiel razon,
Ano name nung store na nakita mo yung eneloop glitters?
Geobert says:
Sanyo rechargable batteries are the best I’ve used. The first ones I bought (2005) finally began to show signs of not charging well only early last year (2009). I switched to Sanyo Eneloops and I’ve been very happy. Even if they have lower mAh than the others, they seem to last long in between charges.
Maye says:
Ang cute nung colors! Hahahaha. I might just buy 1 set coz of that. =)
Cebulifer says:
Where can I order those eneloops?
I have been using Sanyo 700mah Nicads for my Mini4wd racing. It’s good enough for me. I have a Triton fast charger so I can recharge in 5 mins if I need to.
