HTC Grip might be your next fitness tracker

Also announced during the MWC, HTC teamed up with Under Armour, an American Sports clothing and accessories company, as it unveiled its water-resistant fitness tracker called the Grip.

Aimed for serious athletes and fitness buffs, the is a fitness tracker designed to comfortably support even the most extreme training regimes. Built with five precision sensors onboard, the Grip also has a multi-sport mode that allows you to track different types of activities. It also has an auto sleep detection that helps record the total amount of time spent asleep.

A 1.8-inch PMOLED display is also present to help you track your statistics and remotely control your music. The HTC Grip is touted to last for up to 2.5 days on a single charge, and can be connected to any Android or iOS smartphone. It is also water-resistant, rated at IP57, and is immersible in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.

The HTC Grip will be available in Deep Teal/Lime color at select retailers in North America beginning Q2. Price has no been disclosed, and we’ll update once we get more info.
