LG launched its own smart hub for the emerging market of connected devices for home use.
It’s called Hub Robot and it shares intelligence with its competitor, Alexa, as it also uses Amazon’s voice recognition technology. It can respond to commands like turning on the light or any connected appliance around you.
Unlike Alexa though, it features an interactive display for information and images and a built-in speaker to play sounds, alerts, and even music. It can also swivel and move around plus express emotions by displaying faces on its display. It’s can respond using body language too, such as nodding its head when answering simple questions.
It recognizes family members through its built-in camera and can interact and be aware of its master’s presence just like Asus’ Zenbo.
Availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
