I see that the psp vita has many technical specification upgrades. But what are the real differences and pros compared to the regular psp?

    • James S says:

Well, to put it simply, due to those upgrades games will look and play much better. The new parts/features i.e. the touch screen, the touch sensitive back panel, front and rear facing camera, gps, gyroscope, and most importantly the second thumbstick will offer new control inputs and possibilities for the games to use.

oh shucks! im supposed to buy a nintendo 3DS this coming xmas! since the PS VITA is going to come out on deember i think? im really going to buy this baby!

    • Brickz says:

It’s coming out on December in Japan only I think. You may be able to get an import model though but as we all know, that would be expensive.

  20. pal says:

what? oh i see. when is the exact and very sure date this ps vita will be available here in philippines? and by the way , which do you think is good? nintendo 3ds or nintendo wii U? pls let me know

    • Brickz says:

There hasn’t been any announcements yet for the Philippines, as is the usual; we’re not a significant market to be honest. But for the US it’s on February so maybe expect it later than that. Keep in mind that that would just be the official release.
And regarding your second question, you can’t really compare the two because they have different targets/intentions. The Wii-U is a home console with the powerful hardware so expect the serious games/blockbusters to come out on it; it’s more on gaming on the big screen. The Nintendo 3DS, on the other hand, is a portable so the games tend to be relatively more casual and are designed to keep you engaged for when you travel or if you have time to kill while you’re out but the blockbusters would still be there.
Take note, Nintendo really isn’t the best platform for really serious games though e.g. first-person shooters, intense rpg’s. So it still depends on what games you’re into and how and when you’re going to play.
