The new Zune HD will start shipping on September 15, 2009 and is now ready for pre-order at Amazon for just $219.99 (~Php10,500).

I just pre-ordered one today at Amazon. Hopefully, it will arrive here before end of that month.

The Zune HD comes in 16GB ($219.99) and 32GB ($289.99) models. Some feature highlights:

Touchscreen – the Zune HD has multi-touch navigation, a 3.3-inch screen and 16:9 OLED display (480Ã—272 pixel resolution) screen.

HD Radio – the Zune will have an integrated HD Radio receiver so you can tune in to HD radio content (too bad we ainâ€™t got one in the Philippines).

HD Video Out – it will support 720p HD movies via the AV Dock (dock sold separately). Downscaled to 480×272 on the player.

WiFi – synchronize your song collection wirelessly or stream music over WiFi. Also has a full web browser for surfing.

Available colors in black and platinum.

at last! Zune HD to be released Sept 8!

been a Zune 30Gb user since ’06 and very much satisfied with it as compared to my b&w click wheel ipod which only lasted for a year due to hard drive complications.

i’m getting this one definitely

afaik, zune isn’t really released in continents outside north america. Hence, no support dito. If it gets busted, big “uh-oh” for you.

But still, I’d really like to get my hands on this. Been drooling over it since its demo at lifehacker.. It’s waaaaay better than the iPod touch, IMHO.

@ron- they’ll give you a US Postal address you can use for shipping your purchases. They will then deliver it to you via Air or Sea, whichever you prefer. Of course, you pay the duties and all. As an example, shipping in an Amazon Kindle costs about $50.

Price really looks competitive but I still wont trade my App Store for this. And the (rumored) camera on the iPod Touch 3G sounds exciting.

@yuga – if how does MyUSMailBox actually work?

does it get shipped to them in the US and then they ship it to you via a carrier like fedex? if that’s the case, do you end up paying for other charges like customs and duties?
