Netvibes released new updates on its startpage, this time making it way better than the other competitors:
The updates include multiple pages with tabs, rss tooltips, customizable tab icons, and a screen panel which allows you to do some administration and configuration of your page settings (define number of columns, preload options, among others).
Google Homapge should do something like this. Better yet, buy Netvibes. :D

Hi,
I read your comments on web based personalized desktops. I was wondering if you have visited Pageflakes (http://www.pageflakes.com) already? We are offering a similar service allowing you to read news feeds and setting up multiple pages that can be customized with local weather, address book, todo lists, event finders, TV guides and much more. Looking forward to hearing from you. Maybe you have some thoughts on what we can improve.
Thanks and best regards
Tegan

Hi Tegan,
Yes, I am also using PageFlakes but I usually get errors loading RSS feeds burned thru Feedburner. If you could look into it and fix the bugs.
I blogged about it before that it was always down.
