Realme C1 to receive Android 9 Pie, ColorOS 6 update soon

Realme has announced its OTA (Over The Air) schedule for the upcoming software updates on various smartphones including the Realme C1 and Realme 3.

Based on the post from Alessio, the Administrator for Realme India forum, the Realme C1 which is available in the Philippines will receive the Android 9 Pie update along with the latest ColorOS 6 version. Here are the following update schedule with the corresponding patches:

April

Realme 1 – Android Security Patch: April 2019
Realme U1 – Android Security Patch: April 2019
Realme 3 – Android Security Patch: April 2019

May

Realme 2 – Android Security Patch: April 2019
Realme 2 Pro – Android Security Patch: April 2019
Realme C1 – Android Security Patch: April 2019

June

Realme 1 – Android Pie with ColorOS 6
Realme 2 – Android Pie with ColorOS 6
Realme C1 – Android Pie with ColorOS 6
Realme 2 Pro – Android Pie with ColorOS 6
Realme U1 – Android Pie with ColorOS 6

Do note, however, that the rollout of updates will not mean that all users can get the OTA on the first day.

Good thing I bought the C1 than the A3S.

What pain me is that their sister brand – OPPO’s A3S (which was what Realme C1 was based on) and is 1k more expensive is still stuck on Color OS 5.1 while Realme C1 has been updated to Color OS 5.2.
