Canon Marketing Philippines has officially opened registration for Canon PhotoMarathon 2026, bringing back one of the country’s longest-running photography competitions.

Originally launched in Singapore in 2003, Canon PhotoMarathon has since expanded across Asia, with editions held in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Now marking its 19th year locally, the event continues to challenge photographers and creators to produce compelling images and videos under time pressure, guided by surprise themes revealed on the day itself.
This year’s PhotoMarathon will take place on April 18, 2026, at the BGC Amphitheater in Taguig City. The competition is open to professionals, students, camera club members, hybrid creators, and photography enthusiasts alike.

The event features three categories. The Main Photo Category is exclusive to Canon camera users, while the Open Photo and Video Categories are open to participants using any camera brand.
Registration is done through the Canon PH Delightful app, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. Interested participants simply need to create an account and sign up via the Events tab.
Winners across categories will receive major prizes. The Main Photo Category champion will take home a Canon EOS R6 Mark III with RF 24–105mm f/4–7.1 IS STM, while the Open Photo Category winner will receive a Canon EOS R8 with 24–50mm lens. For the Video Category, Canon users can win a Canon EOS R50 V, while non-Canon users stand to receive a Canon PowerShot V1.

Ahead of the main event, Canon will also host a series of photowalks, school visits, and regional tours from February to March 2026. Creators can also catch Canon activities at PhotoWorld Asia 2026, happening from January 29 to February 1. All pre-event activities are free and open to digital camera users, regardless of brand.
