社会福利与发展部(DSWD)呼吁社交媒体用户和网红停止将残障作为线上娱乐内容。

社会福利与发展部助理部长 Irene Dumlao 表示,模仿或嘲笑残障人士(PWD)是不尊重的行为,并会强化歧视。该机构在全国残障事务委员会(NCDA)谴责 TikTok 上的 “Emily Blind Prank” 趋势后发表了此声明,该趋势中用户假装失明以争取现金奖品。

“这些视频嘲弄残障并违反第9442号共和国法案,该法案禁止公开嘲笑和羞辱残障人士,”NCDA说。

杜姆劳还提醒公众,菲律宾总统费迪南德·马科斯二世已指示各机构加强赋能残障人士的项目。她呼吁大家在网络上负责任,促进包容,并举报任何嘲笑或不尊重残障人士的内容。
