NVIDIA introduces Max-Q for gaming laptops

NVIDIA has just launched its new gaming platform called Max-Q which promises high-performance best suited for gaming use.

The Max-Q will be available for OEMs worldwide to take advantage of its design philosophy and computing prowess. Physically, it is only 18mm thin which is the same thickness as the MacBook Air. Only with Max-Q, you have up to 70% more gaming performance as reported by NVIDIA.

At its core is an NVIDIA Pascal architecture sporting a GeForce GTX 1080 which is manufactured on the 16nm FinFET process. Basically, the company made sure that the components maintain efficiency throughout the system with optimized performances.

NVIDIA claims that using the Max-Q designed laptops will enable gamers to experience high-fidelity gaming with high-resolution entertainment anywhere and anytime. Additionally, these laptops were made ready for NVIDIA GeForce Experience which is a software platform that automatically provides game profile settings out of the box.

Max-Q designed laptops with GeForce GTX 1080, 1070, and 1060 will be available starting June 27 from different OEMs and system builders like Acer, Alienware, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and more. Pricing to follow.
