BYD has officially launched the all-new eMAX 9 DM-i, a premium plug-in hybrid MPV, in the Philippines. The model made its local debut at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, marking another major milestone for the brand’s expansion under AC Motors, BYD’s official Philippine distributor.

The eMAX 9 DM-i combines electric efficiency and luxury, offering a range of up to 1,000 kilometers through BYD’s Super DM-i hybrid technology. It’s powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine paired with a high-capacity electric motor, designed to deliver both performance and fuel savings.

Positioned as a family- and business-friendly premium MPV, the eMAX 9 DM-i features three rows of seats, a luxurious cabin, and smart technology integration aimed at providing comfort and convenience for passengers. The interior includes dual 12.8-inch displays, wireless charging, and multi-zone climate control, while safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.

According to BYD Philippines, the eMAX 9 DM-i represents the brand’s vision of “going beyond exceptional” by combining advanced electrification with refined design and practicality. The model is also part of BYD’s effort to make new-energy vehicles more accessible to Filipino consumers, supporting the country’s transition toward sustainable mobility.

The eMAX 9 DM-i is now available through BYD dealerships nationwide, joining the brand’s growing lineup of electric and hybrid vehicles such as the Dolphin, Atto 3, Seal, and Tang.
