Earlier dubbed as Nokia Tube, the just announced Nokia 5800 XpressMusic may appeal to many Nokia fans with its touch screen interface that comes with a pen stylus.
Here’s what Nokia fans will get with the release of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic:

3.2 inch touch screen display (640×360)
3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps
GPS with Nokia Maps 2.0
WiFi 802.11 b/g
3.15MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual flash (2048×1536 pixels)
secondary camera for video calls
Pre-loaded with an 8GB microSD card (max 16GB)
81MB internal memory
Proximity Sensor (auto turn-off)
Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate
Handwriting recognition
Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
Stereo FM radio with RDS
TV Out
3.5mm audio output jack

Surprisingly, the price $392 is pretty attractive (just around Php18,000) considering you also get the 8GB microSD card in it.
What’s more surprising is that Nokia is also introducing the “Comes with Music” in this handset — that’s 12 months of free unlimited subscription to the Nokia Music Store.
Not only is the Nokia 5800 a potential iPhone-killer, it’s more like an iTunes-killer too. See Nokia PR page.

Quite a nice phone! Hmmmmm, that made me want to perform hands-on review in it.
Step aside iPhone….. this one is perfectly cool….
I’m attracted to the price.
now this one is a good deal.
surefire! beats the crAPPLE iPhone’s ass performance wise.
I’m adding this to my Christmas wishlist
OMG?! as in?! Christmas Bonus = Christmas Shopping!!!
where can i buy it now?
Sa december ako ka na…:-)
iphone humanda ka! hahaha
18,000 pesos?I doubt it, i bet it will start at 29,000 if not 32 or 39T…Considering it’s touch screen and all.
i think mag sta start sya ng 55k+ dito sa phils… parang iPhone na $199 lang, pero pag dating sa pinas 41k ~___~
Any iphone killer are always welcome..
Wish they come sooner & affordable for the manongs & the indays..
i can imagine the possibilities..
Very cool and a tempting buy. Let’s hope the Yuga’s suggested price tag stays true once this unit hits local stores. It would one awesome Christmas gift.
yung iphone po sa america kya $199 xe my 2 year contract ka pa dun.. babayaran mo pa un ng 2 taon.. prang plan dito sten.. kaya gnun..
kelan e2 ire2lease d2 sa pinas?
di naman siguro aabot ng 30k.. kasi it’s a question of availability eh… pretty much yung globe predominantly one of the official retailers ng iphone 3g kaya yung iphone 3g subject to overpricing… yung 5800 naman, ang daming potential retailers niyan (Nokia Store[dapat naman], memoxpress[official retailer siya.. nasa box ng most nokia phones], etc.)… so no need to rely sa mga mobile networks gaya ng globe. the only thing to worry about is yung taxes na idadagdag pagdating dito…haha
nasa 20K lang yan naka subsidize kasi yung iphone kaya wag nyo i compare dun retail price na nya ang $300+ unlike iphone eh 199 naka plan
@ralph
erratum!
dapat iPod Touch din.
Kelan ba yan available sa pinas?
Boss sang store sa pinas mabibili yan? can’t wait to buy it..

Brod Yuga, update us when its already available here in the Philippines… Daghang Salamat!
hi, when will the nokia 5800 come to the philippines? how much will it be?
when will it be available in the philippines?
dude… 7 countries or 2 countries lang ata yung makakakuha ng 5800 this year… the rest daw next year na… ano ba talaga? hmmm… pero sa russia raw $600 yung 5800… almost double ng sinabi ng nokia… ngek!
hi, nagtanong ako sa Nokia Robinsons Galleria. Available daw ang 5800 by December 2008, at the price of P30,000
Hi, nag mail ako sa nokia careline eto lng ang sagot!
‘Thank you for emailing Nokia Careline.
In response to your inquiry, please be advise that Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is not yet officially launched in the market. There is no confirmation when will be released, however, you may try to check from our Nokia website or you may call Nokia Careline from time to time.’
i read two comments from this site, the one said nokia is for Pinoy and the other one Pinoy is an mimick genius, consolidating the two idea, nokia is definitely defines a Pinoy considering it imitates the iPhone features though not all but mostly.
