The popular and affordable qwerty phone, Nokia C3, now has a sibling and they called it the Nokia C3-01 Touch & Type — the second of its kind after the Nokia X3 Touch & Type back in August.

Riding on the coat-trails of the popular Nokia C3, the C3-01 sheds the qwerty keyboard and replaces it with the regular alphanumeric one. To compensate for that loss, they’ve made the display a touch screen albeit a resistive one.

Indicated price in euros translate to about Php8,200 but that may vary depending on current exchange rates.

The original Nokia C3’s popularity was based on the qwerty form factor so despite the addition of 3G connectivity on the C3-01, I don’t think it will have the same warm reception compared to the former. If nothing else, this model seems like a cheaper, feature-phone equivalent of the Nokia E52.

I was eyeing for x3-02 nung bibili ako tapos nakita ko yung dark grey version ng c3-01 maganda pala. Di ko kasi type yung white silver na kulay. I ended up buying yung c3-01 kasi metal casing

The specs were astonishing but then, for me the style of X3-01 was better than this C3-02. I really like this but the appearance is not that appealing.

just got mine last wednesday.. sm sta mesa ako bumili.. P8750 with 2gb memory card.. STYLE yung name nung store.. :) meron din sa iba kaso mejo mahal// around P9,300 :)

Eh meron na po ba neto sa Philippines? At magkano naman kaya? ang kinagusto ko dito eh 5mp, at ung simplicity, pero kung d kaya ng budget ko c3 nalang muna ko hehehehe. Pero mas gusto ko ung qwerty keypad

saan mas maganda yung x3 touch & type or yung c3 touch & type…? nakita ko na ang dalawang specs ng x3 and c3 touch and type kaso itong c3 touch and type ang medyo may kamahalan around 9,800php sa net na nakita ko tapos ung x3 touch and type around 8,500php at sa data barer ng dalawang model ay ito lang c3 touch and type lang ang merong data barer sa wifi pero both of them merong wifi. but ang x3 touch and type ay walang data barer.. para malaman nyo kung ano mas maganda sa dalawa tingnan nyo sa forum.nokia.com tapos e compare nyo yung x3 touch and type at c3 touch and type… kung meron na kayong nalaman tungkol sa c3 touch and type kung saan mabili or pwede bang sa online nalang bumili mag send nlng kayo ng e-mail sa akin. jo****@yahoo.com.ph

ang ganda at simple lang! affordable pa! san kaya ako makakabili nito? nagpunta ako sa trinoma wala anaman ako nakita? ung mga sales lady walang clue sa phone na to! kpag my nakita aku text nyo naman

iv checked it on the net, i think the phone is good.i also wanted to have one.i dnt find qwerty pad faster when im sending messages.kaya ok padin tong alpha numeric..and the touch screen part,since wide naman ang screen, ok sya pag nag bbrowse ka sa net ;) un lng wla pang release kelan sya out sa market..

the blackberry storm has a much more resistive touch screen.. so i guess this phone’s a cheaper but quality product from nokia.

i love this c3-01 easy to use bec. of the keypad. for me the design was not EWWW:)meron n kaya ito sa pinas?im looking for a phone n hindi qwerty and me wifi connectivity.ganda ng features.

mas mgnda specs nito at hindi hirap magtext kesa sa mga qwerty-type at full-touchscreen na phones. sna dumating na xa sa pinas at a low price :D

nice specs but I don’t see any reason why did they made this one a touch screen with alpha numeric pad…. looks like they (Nokia) testing the responses of people who will buy this phone.
