The much-awaited Firefox Mobile browser (codenamed Fennec) is now out in Alpha 1 release. We've got over a hundred submissions from our recent poll on mobile 3G services. Quite a number of users have already been using their new uMobile SIMs too (7.19%) while fledgling Sun Cellular 3G is still down there. Surprisingly, very few people are using PLDT WeRoam -- a service which has practically been supplanted by SmartBro Mobile 3G. uMobile on the other hand, though an autonomous telco is still considered a Smart/PLDT property and their free ad-supported 3G services will certainly bump up their total numbers. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is set to introduce international money transfers through its mobile banking app, following a partnership with Visa aimed at making cross-border transactions faster and more affordable for Filipinos. The service is expected to become available to more than four million active BPI mobile app users. Jollibee, the country's largest food chain known far-and-wide, has collaborated with the Philippines' most-played mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).
