Apple intros 2015 Macbook in gold, silver, space gray

The lightest Mac ever — Apple introduces the new Macbook 2015 in different colors: gold, silver and space gray.

Updated: Apple just calls it the new Macbook which sits beside the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro, both of which are also getting hardware upgrades.

At 12 inches, the display is now at 2,304×1,440 pixels (Retina Display).

It only weighs 2.0 lbs (less than 1kg). Just 13.1mm thin.

The new Macbook is powered by a super efficient Intel Core M processor. Apple claims a battery life of up to 10 hours (video playback).

The new Macbook also comes with a unified port — this new connectivity standard gives you power, USB data transfer, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA capabilities.

The price starts at $1,299 (Php58,500) but the one with the Intel Core M 1.2GHz dual-core, Intel HD Graphics 5300, 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD will sell for $1,599 (Php72,000).

They should be available by April 10.

    • Good riddance if I may say so myself. Mas elegant tignan yung shiny logo on matte, kesa yung back-lit logo.

  1. Ph pricing is Php 65,990.00 per Apple Store online

  2. Oh fudge! the Macbook comes with multiple colors now?! Must resist urge to buy a new one T_T

  3. One porr only??? Paano yung mga graphic designers na nakasaksak yung Macbook sa external display at may Wacom tablet? Tapos may port splitter worth $80? Why?

Why design a Macbook to have 1 port and offer a port splitter? Couldn’t they just design it with 2/3 built in?

    • They should get the MacBook Pro. When they introduce new products it doesn’t mean it works for everyone

    • exactly what Martin said. consumers have the options which macbook to buy, and if you’re a graphic designer, why settle for this if they can get a better speced Macbook Pro? :)

  4. This wins me for the 8GB of RAM, the rest of the specs are just gravy for me.

  5. Selling my 2014 Retina Macbook Pro 13″ 128gig, 8g ram ^_^
