Redmi 12 now official: 50MP camera, Helio G88 chipset

Xiaomi has silently unveiled its next budget-entry offering, the Redmi 12 equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 chip and three rear cameras with a 50MP primary + 8MP ultrawide lenses.

The display spans at 6.79-inch with 90Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Up front is now a punch-hole notch—which is an improvement from its predecessor that had a dew-drop notch—housing an 8MP selfie camera.

Redmi 12 Colors

It runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and carries a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. It is also IP53 certified against splashes and dust.

The Redmi 12 is now available in Thailand’s Shopee and Lazada. But as of writing, only the Midnight Black is in stock with 8+128GB combo is priced at THB 5,299 or about PHP 8,539.47 in today’s conversion.
