Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has officially unveiled in India the Redmi Y3, a phone said to be focused for the modern generation.

This new Redmi phone sports an Aura Design which shows 146 vertical stripes that emits distinct spectrum hues when seen in different angles through refraction. The phone also features P2i’s patented plasma protection that is said to protect the device and reduce the damage taken against humidity, everyday splashes, and spills.

Xiaomi will make the Redmi Y3 available in India by April 30 with two variants in tow. A 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage variant will go on sale for INR 9,999 (~PHP 7,500), while a 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage model will hit online stores and retail shops for INR 11,999 (~PHP 9,000).
