The Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, Inc. (Mislatel) that acquired its congressional franchise back on April 19, 1998, is now called Dito Telecommunity Corp.
Following the events after the company received its Certificate of Public Convenience (CPCN) that allows a qualified applicant to legally operate and/or provide public services in the Philippines. Dito Telecommunity Corp. is expected to start its commercial operations by 2020. This also means that, currently, they are the third telco operating in the country.
The Mislatel or Dito Consortium led by the Davao-based businessman Dennis A. Uy is comprised of Mislatel, Udenna Corporation, Chelsea logistics, and China Telecom.
