Honda unveils all new Jazz starting at Php768,000

Honda Philippines launches the third generation Jazz that is dubbed “The One”. It combines a fresh look with new technologies to achieve more dynamic performance, fuel economy, and overall functionality.

To be the world’s best functional compact was the goal behind the new Jazz so it’s got some tricks up its sleeve. One of which is its Ultra Seat that folds flat or flips up, giving it the versatility to quickly and easily adapt to a wide variety of passenger and cargo hauling needs.

It boasts four modes for extra storage:

Utility Mode – with Ultra seat folded flat, the vehicle can carry two passengers and larger items.

Tall Mode – with the Ultra seat folded up, the vehicle can carry two or three passengers and tall items with maximum height of 100cm in the second row.

Long Mode – with the Ultra seat folded flat and the front passenger seat reclined all the way back, the vehicle can carry two passengers and a long item with maximum length of 226 cm.

Refresh Mode – the new addition to the Ultra seat configurations; the front seats can be reclined to connect with the rear seats, allowing the driver and passenger to have in-car relaxation.

Here’s a short video showing more of the Jazz’s exterior and interior:

It also has a 7-inch touch screen display that pairs to a smartphone using Bluetooth for hands-free navigation during calls or listening to music. Connectivity-wise, there’s an auxiliary, USB, and even an HDMI port to mirror the phone on the display.

Underneath the hood, the all new Jazz sports a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine coupled with either a 5-speed manual transmission or the new Continuously Variable Transmission. It also promotes fuel efficiency through its ECO Assist system which consists of the ECON mode that controls the engine, drive-by-wire, transmission, and air conditioning performance.

If you want extra kits for your Jazz, Honda is offering genuine Modulo and Mugen accessories which are sold separately. There are six colors available including Rallye Red, Taffeta White, Attract Yellow Pearl, Vivi Sky Blue Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, and Alabaster Silver Metallic.

  1. Looks good but, typical Honda, a bit overpriced. For a second car, I still like the Suzuki Swift over this. But this is good primary car

    • The 1.5 6sp skyactive mazda 3 hatch(compact car) has the same price as the top spec Jazz here(subcompact). Which one is overpriced? While the 2L Mazda 3 is similarly priced as the other 2L variants of other brands. Plus you get Yojin 3 (free PMS up to 60k kms)

    • overpriced? lookup philippine tax laws. lol.

  2. We are too dependent on Petrol (Gas) vehicles. Honda should take a cue from Tesla & start developing electric cars. Aside from electricity, they could use the concept of “Back to the Future’s – DeLorean DMC-12”. Garbage as main source of fuel; that’s innovative but, the problem lies within the budget and the company/corporation that would handle such a task…..

    • Honda’s hydrogen car research is probably the most advanced among the major automakers, but they’re a long way from generating interest and producing a viable, cost-effective model.

    • Believe it or not, Honda and other car manufacturers have already figured out everything about fuel substitutes YEARS AGO.

One of the reasons why we’re not seeing a lot of full-electric and hybrid cars is because of synergy. There’s a lot of entities involved. Mass producing an affordable electric/hybrid/hydro car will have a great impact on oil companies.

This scenario is actually happening in the Philippines right now. We have A LOT OF INNOVATORS here in the country. We’ve already figured out how to use used cooking oil as fuel. Heck, we even came up with a turbocharger that helps lessen fuel consumption.

But these “breakthroughs” in the automobile industry are being killed because of synergy. A lot of gov’t officials are part of some of the big oil companies here in the country. TLDR: innovation will kill their business.

    • +1!

      Business is business.

    • Heard of Honda CR-Z? Just search for it.

  3. Is it just me or mukha siyang Honda City na maliit. parang sa Car Town. haha!!

  4. masyadong mahal para sa isang subcompact hatchback car, makakabili ka na ng decent compact car sa ganyang presyo,or even an entrylevel auv/mpv/suv. Well justified naman ung procve dahil maraming features, pero magcocompact pa din ako.dun sa mga bibili ng jazz tapos bibili ng mugen kits, magSUV NA LANG KAYO O COMPACT CAR,TOP-OF-THE-LINE PA hahaha 400k just for cosmetic upgrades
