LTFRB announces Php10 rollback in taxi flag-down rates

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has recently announced a Php10USD 0.17INR 14EUR 0.16CNY 1 rollback in the flag-down rates for taxis and airport taxis nationwide.

The rollback will be implemented starting on Monday, March 9, 2015. The new flag-down rates will be Php30USD 0.51INR 43EUR 0.49CNY 4 (from Php40USD 0.68INR 58EUR 0.65CNY 5) for regular taxis, and Php60USD 1INR 87EUR 0.97CNY 7 (from Php70USD 1INR 101EUR 1CNY 9) for airport taxis.

LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez has clarified that the rollback is only provisional. Taxi meters will not be recalibrated and would still show a flag-down rate of Php40USD 0.68INR 58EUR 0.65CNY 5/Php70USD 1INR 101EUR 1CNY 9. Passengers should take note of the new rates while taxi drivers are advised to manually deduct Php10USD 0.17INR 14EUR 0.16CNY 1 from the total fare. Taxi drivers who fail to implement the rollback will be apprehended.

  1. sana mag-adjust din ng rate ang uber.

  2. It’s really good. I mean, gas prices are coming down, and taxis a really expensive as it is now.

  3. LTFRB did this because their Taxis were threatened, this is why it’s happening now :P

  4. rollback nga ng P10, pero sasabihan ka naman ng taxi driver ng “Boss plus P50” bago ka isakay or pag nakasay ka na, dahil traffic daw. th.
