Since the holiday rush from the previous year, Mabuhay Lanes have been a talk of the town. Not because it was new, but because of the discovery of that it was beeing blocked by illegally parked vehicles and also, private obstructions.
And, with the use of social media and instant messaging, government institutions have been actively communicating with its citizens, or netizens to be specific. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority  or MMDA is now asking active online users to help them monitor and catch violators with the help of Twitter and Viber.
Here’s how to help as posted from MMDA Twitter account:
Via Twitter:
Tweet @MMDA with the following details using the hashtag, #NetizensWatch:
– Picture of the parked vehicle/road works/obstruction
– Time and location of the picture taken
Via Viber:
Viber using the following details at 0906 147 6975:
– Picture of the parked vehicle/road works/obstruction
– Time and location of the picture taken
After reporting, MMDA should then acknowledge your report and forward it to its task force. You will also get updates of your report.
With the active participation of MMDA through Twitter, we hope this small help from netizens will make them effective in keeping the Mabuhay Lanes passable and free from any obstruction.
