HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) Review
Two more Samsung Wave smartphones will come out in the next couple of months — the Samsung S5250 Wave 2 and Samsung S5330 Wave 2 Pro. Both handsets will also run the Bada OS and will be much cheaper than its predecessor.

Suggested retail price of Samsung S5250 Wave 2 is going to be Php8,990 and is expected to be released in 3rd week of September.
On the other hand, the Samsung S5330 Wave 2 Pro is a similarly spec-ed handset that includes a sliding full-qwerty keyboard. Yes, the specs is the same as above plus the sliding keyboard.
It will be released by October this year with a suggested retail price of Php10,490.

Bagsak ang samsung pagdating sa quality. Kung gaan0 sila kabilis gumawa ng bagong unit ganun din kabilis masira. I have 4 friends who used to have Samsung phones but n0ne of them last. Matagal na yung 1 year pero sira ang speaker, keypad or deadset na.
So for me… This is cheap.

I just bought the new Wave 525, and all I can say is that so far I am pleasantly surprised. The manual cites a lot of specs that are not published in the marketing collaterals.
It’s got a responsive capacitative screen that supports multi-touch (eg zooming in and out), a decent camera with a surprising list of special abilities (face detection, smile shutter, panorama, continuous shots, but no flash though, a MAJOR irritant), an accelerator sensor that allows you to shift from portrait to landscape, allowing additional features and “moving” pictures, an amazing audio (5.1 via 3.5mm standard plug!), good speakers, /n wifi, and a nice simplistic form factor that gives it a more adult/premium look (not like the “kiddie” Corby). And if you are into the social-network thing, you will find useful its ability to combine all your tweets and mails and wall posts into one interface.
The down sides are the limited-res screen (well, compared to other higher-end smartphones) and no 3G (so no video calls). It is also not an Android. It uses Bada instead, so hard-core Android fans may get disappointed if they can’t find a version of their favorite apps. But so far, Bada looks pretty ok. Maybe Samsung will release tons of free stuff for it so that it can take market share away from Android. Also, the Dolfin web browser takes some getting used to.
My 2 cent’s worth on this is that it is the best smartphone currently available in this price range, bar none. It even beats some of the more expensive entry-level smartphones like the LG Optimus GT540 and Samsung Galaxy 5.
I’ll try to return in a month or two to give a follow-up.
