Elon Musk has created his new artificial intelligence (AI) company called X.AI.
According to The Wall Street Journal, X.AI was filed in the state of Nevada last month. The company currently has Musk as its director and Jared Birchall, the director of Musk’s family office as its secretary.
Musk had also reportedly searched for funding amongst Tesla and SpaceX investors for X.AI with it now authorizing the sale of 100 million shares for the privately owned company.
It was also reported that Musk had purchased thousands of GPUs in recent weeks for the AI company.
The news also comes as a surprise due to the fact that Elon Musk together with other big technology names such as Steve Wozniak had signed an open letter in the hopes of pausing the development of powerful AI for six months.
This also comes after Musk rebranded Twitter into now X Corp in his plans to create an “Everything App” under the X brand.
It’s also worth noting that Musk was actually a co-founder of ChatGPT’s parent company OpenAI back in 2015 but had left by 2018.

Don’t you get it? He just wants his company to catch up.
He initially threw money to OpenAI and the founders would have none of his childishness.
