7 cities in PH among top 100 outsourcing destinations

Tholons, a leading full-service Strategic Advisory firm for Global Outsourcing and Investments, has released their report on the Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations for 2014. Included in the rankings are seven major cities in the Philippines.

Manila took 2nd place in this year’s rankings, moving up from 3rd in 2013. While Cebu maintains its position at 8th place. Davao is at 69th (from 70th), Santa Rosa, Laguna is at 82nd (from 84th), Bacolod is at 93rd (from 94th), Iloilo is at 95th (from 93rd), and Baguio at 99th.

India dominates the top ten, including first place, with six cities.

“Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations report has been one of the flagship projects of Tholons and is acknowledged by industry stakeholders as the de facto ranking of outsourcing cities around the world. Using the proprietary and industry-leading Tholons Location Assessment Framework, Tholons has identified Top 10 Emerged, Top 50 Emerging, and 40 Aspiring outsourcing cities across the globe.”

Tholons has offices around the world including the Philippines which is located in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Bitter ka lang, dre. Wag masyadong biased kasi. Perhaps your city (wherever that is) is just not really at par with the 7 listed above.

may mga call center na ba sa santiago city? nag google ako, walang lumalabas na mga big named centers under this city. wehehehe

I’m from the BPO industry and our company has different delivery centers around the world. I want to share something that one of our clients said. They said that the Filipino’s attitude towards work is impressive. We are hardworking and do our best to deliver all the time. And because of that, they decided to move their account from our India delivery center to Manila. :)

well FILIPINO programmer good on its respective programming specialties and most of all FILIPINO are polite, humble, and will do everything to finish the task on hand… and we are good English speaker and can adopt in any environment… cheers….

Like you said, Filipinos are good in English. Apparently, there are exceptions. Wala naman masama sa paggamit ng Tagalog lalo na’t ipinagmamalaki mo ang ating bayan sa comment mo.

wala namang masama kung magkamali, pero kung maraming mali e wala rin namang masamang magtagalog di naman nakakababa ng katauhan ang paggamit nun eh.
