JobStreet.com, the country’s most popular online job portal, has published their list of the top Most Preferred Employers in the country today. One of them is a technology services and outsourcing company.

Filipino-owned San Miguel Corporation (SMC) came out on top, followed by Nestlé Philippines, Procter & Gamble Philippines, Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, and Accenture.

According to JobStreet’s survey, salary is the top reason why candidates want to work for the mentioned companies, followed by benefits, support and training/learning and development, and company reputation.

React to this article:
  1. what? dapat Smart ang nasa no 1. I’ve known San Miguel and Smart, wala pa rin tatalo sa Smart when it come to benefits and salary.

Sigurado ba kayo dyan?

Aba eh wala ngang nag-a-apply dyan eh! kita nyo sa may Makati Med at along Buendia-Pasong Tamo andami nilang mga namimigay ng flyers doon, in the hopes of getting somebody to apply.

Besides bulok ang sistema nila! As per my friend na kaka-alis lang doon… imbes na matuwa sya sa backpay nya, aba eh nabwisit pa, dahil sya pa daw ang may utang.. samantalang wala nman syang mga Loans. Ang galing noh? Magic! Also TOXIC ang work sa kanila, at susulitin ka talaga! Puno pa ng Pulitika sa loob. Yan ang Accenture!

    • Ngangot, na terminate ka sa Accenture noh? You don’t know what you’re saying..

    • This is true. I am still with Accenture but agree that the place is toxic. People are overworked and not paid commensurate to the work delivered. Benefits have been slashed to a pittance of what was once a great package.

    • I am with Accenture and I vouch that both of them are true.
They also have a forced ranking system, in which only the best performing people have no trouble going up the ladder.

    • Don’t forget, Accenture also has a 100,000 Php bond that serves as a pretermination fee, in case you cannot fulfill your 1 year contract.

It’s absolutely ridiculous if you’re fresh. Like most people, you’ll just try to end that 1 year as quickly as possible. In addition to being overworked and poorly compensated relative to the work you output, they care little for your work-life balance as they will assign you wherever they see fit.

Accenture will squeeze you for all you’re worth. They’ll make you bleed. There are FAR better IT-centric BPO employers out there.

  3. Very informative response. Walang bias.

Kalokohan ‘to.
