ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra specs, image renders leak ahead of launch

Listen to article

ASUS has confirmed to hold a launch event on February 6th for its new Zenfone 12 Ultra. But as the launch date approaches, we already get a sneak peek of what to expect.

According to a leak from a German website, the Zenfone 12 Ultra is essentially a trimmed-down version of the ROG Phone 9 Pro—a gaming phone from the same brand that saw a global launch in November 2024.

The key differences lie in the design, and the battery capacity. The Zenfone 12 Ultra rocks a streamlined design as compared to the gaming-centric design of the ROG Phone 9 Pro.

The cameras island is also different, but the Zenfone appears to have the same sensors as the gaming phone: a 50-megapixel main complemented with a 13-megapixel ultrawide and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens.

Notably, despite its purportedly IP68 rating, the phone comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra (leak) specs:
6.78-inch (Samsung) LTPO OLED display
2400 x 1800 pixels, up to 144Hz refresh rate
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite
8GB, 16GB LPDDR5x RAM
Up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage
Triple rear cameras:
– 50MP main
– 13MP ultrawide
– 32MP telephoto, OIS (3x optical zoom)
32MP selfie shooter
USB Type-C
3.5mm audio jack
IP68 dust and water resistance
Android 15
5500mAh battery
65W charging (wired)
15W Qi wireless

Launch date

The ASUS will unveil the Zenfone 12 Ultra on February 6 at 2:30 PM (GMT+8). Stay tuned!
