Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors.

Both chipsets introduce Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI. This is a feature designed to reduce lag and improve navigation responsiveness.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity.

Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series. It also supports Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) 5G + 5G/4G connectivity.

According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI. Meanwhile, smartphones using Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 are expected from OPPO, realme and REDMI.
