Huawei Y6 2018 is the company’s top contender for the budget segment ever since last year. It comes with a 5.7-inch IPS display with 1440 x 720 resolution, Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front, and 3,000mAh battery.

Here are the advantages of each smartphone:
Nokia 2.1
Huawei Y6 2018
The Y6 2018 offers a better viewing experience which makes it a better pick when it comes to watching videos. However, the Nokia 2.1’s Oleophobic coating, which reduces fingerprint marks and smudges, is still a good addition to its display.
On paper, both performances should be almost the same as they have the same chipset. However, the OS can play a big role as the Nokia 2.1 has the Go Edition which is optimized for smartphones with 1GB RAM or less. On the other hand, the Y6 2018 has a 2GB RAM with EMUI 8. In our review, we didn’t experience problems when it comes to daily usage (except when opening the Google Play Store) but if you’re running apps, it’s good to have the largest RAM as possible.
The Y6 2018 dominated the rear camera in terms of resolution but it doesn’t mean it’s better. We’re yet to take photos on the Nokia 2.1 so in the meantime, you can check our sample shots for the Huawei Y6 2018.
The Nokia 2.1 highlight is its 4,000mAh battery capacity which is 1,000mAh larger than the Y6 2018. At this point, we can say the former has the biggest advantage.
To summarize, in terms of viewing experience, larger internal storage, and face unlock, my money goes to the Y6 2018 but in terms of UI optimization, and battery capacity, the Nokia 2.1 wins.
The Nokia 2.1 and Huawei Y6 2018 are both priced at Php5,990USD 102INR 8,653EUR 97CNY 743 and are available in their respective authorized stores nationwide. What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
