Listen to article

smart 700mhz

PLDT/Smart:

* Las frecuencias adicionales mejorarán significativamente la calidad y cobertura de internet
* La frecuencia 700MHz se extiende más lejos y con mayor amplitud que otras frecuencias
* Mejor cobertura en interiores
* Permite un despliegue más rápido en áreas regionales y rurales

Globe:

* Mejor penetración de señal interior para una conectividad de datos más estable
* Mayor asignación de ancho de banda por cliente
* Alcance más amplio
* Tarifas más asequibles

The issue for 700MHz is the capacity, yes it can go further and can reach more users but it can only accommodate certain number of data connections due to its limited capacity. Unless Smart and Globe will increase the number of cell sites accommodating the 700MHz connections then it is good. But as per current situation that is not the case, they cramp their subscriber to a cell site, thats why they are imposing cap and we usualy can’t the plan’s promised speed.
Lower frequency = better distance, low capacity/bandwidth
Higher frequency = better capacity/bandwidth, shorter distance

Ideally kasi, magkasama dapat yung higher at lower frequency na ide-deploy. Lower frequency as the umbrella frequency (or yung malaking area) tapos within it lalo na sa maraming users ay yung high frequency naman.

stop this nonsense… if you really want to improve your internet services… 1st step to make is to lift off your internet data capping… 2nd increase speed… 3rd justified price… think of wider coverage(buying infrastructures to let you have more consumers to fools) after those first three steps are done… stupid telcos…!

D mangyayari yang magiging cheaper and faster speed.

full of marketing strategy.
u can save the consumer from buying a new phone. by just increasing the speed of 3g …. with the same package plan or price at happy na ako

to see is to believe given their track record…if they implement peer sharing and zero tariff rates on calls and texts between their networks, baka pa maniwala ako…

I get 1-2mb speed on downloads.. but get around 40mb on speedtest… in short… this doesnt help at all

Clear?
