HUAWEI Pura 80 also unveiled

The HUAWEI Pura 80 has also been unveiled as the base model of the Pura 80 line. This offering is the smallest in the series, sporting a 6.6-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It also has flat Kunlun glass protection unlike the higher models which have curved glass.

Similarly though, details on its chipset have yet to be unpacked by the company. It does, however, have a 5,600mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

For optics, it has a 50-megapixel main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0) and OIS. Paired with this is a 12-megapixel telephoto (up to 5.5x optical zoom) and a 13-megapixel ultrawide at the rear.

The phone also supports satellite messaging via Beidou just like the HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro. It will ship with HarmonyOS 5.1 and will have an IP68/69 rating for dust and water protection.

Unlike the other three models in the series, pricing and availability for the base HUAWEI Pura 80 hasn’t been revealed. We’ll be sure to update readers once it’s up for this developing story.
