Google Street View Car spotted along EDSA

Earlier today, a Google StreetView car was spotted plying the roads of EDSA, possibly taking 360-degree photos of the main streets.

The project could just be in its early stage for Metro Manila but we could be seeing Street View available in the Philippines real soon.

  1. Probably, all the buses, heavy traffic and probably some crossing civilians in the highway will give the correctly picture of how EDSA look like in 360 street view. :3

  2. I hope Google will also map, local bike trails soon…

  3. HAHAHA mas lalong papangit image ng metro manila sa ibang bansa dahil sa trapik XD

  4. transit time end to end of EDSA via commute, if google really accurately report, should be more or less 3-4hrs, else they doesn’t really measure it, :-)

  5. Google don’t be evil I-release niyo na ang street view sa 2014 kahit phase by phase lang. (1st batch metro manila then so on so forth)

  6. hahahahaha pati ba iskinita?mahirap imap ang metro manila may nga umihi sa pader hahahaha….tska malaki metro manila(kahit mas malaki pa ang US) challenging para sa google xD hahahahaha ISAMA PATI ESKINITA

  7. Can this car just be carrying advertisement of google street view on its body and not actually photo mapping the metro?

    • i have to agree wala yung dome camera nila dito.

    • The camera is visible on two of the photos. It’s the round gadget on the roof.

  8. I dont think they will add yung mga eskenits…kasi if they do, for sure, there are some place, baka di na lumabas ng buhay ang nag street view nun heheheh kung successful naman…baka ilang buwan lang, iba na ulit ang street view…wala na yung daanan nung eskenita at may tindahan nang nakaharang heheheh

Well this is good news na din para sa mga kababayan nating nasa abroad na namimiss ang manila…they could go around and reminisce :-)

  10. its a must for google though Manila is major key city in the world, kaya kelangan nila magkaroon ng data sa mga streets and major toroughfare ngmetro manila…the downside, nakupo makikita ang lukot lukot na streets with all those traffic jams and with matching sari sari streets on the side hahaha!!

    • I mean, matching sari sari stores on the side…kakatuwa
