Google Inc. is continuously trying to find ways to make things life easier for its users. They know and understand (based on research, forums, suggestions and consumer feedbacks) how managing your account, files and apps can be a daunting task. That’s why they came up with an idea to integrate Google Services (Google Play, Music, eBookstore and Android Market) into one place: Google Play.

This way, users can store all their purchases in one cloud-based place and never have to worry about syncing them individually if ever something happened. The roll-out has started since early part of March of this year. The name Android Market and its icon are now replaced by Google Play with it colorful play icon.
If you are (or were) an Apple user like me, you’d definitely say that this is nothing new from what we’ve been using for our Apple devices. It makes you want to wonder what took Google so long to figure this out. But regardless whether the update may be quite late, what’s important is it’s now here. And I really think that this will be a very helpful update for Android users, especially for those people who have multiple Android powered devices.
Note: You will see these changes when you go to market.android.com in your browser o check in to the Market app in your Android handset.
